The Parish Council is not the Local Planning Authority - this is North East Derbyshire District Council. However, Pilsley Parish Council is a statutory consultee on all Planning applications within our area and any applications are considered at our monthly Council meetings.

If, after consideration the parish council resolves to raise objections to a planning application, these are normally made to North East Derbyshire District Council who are the local Planning authority.

When a decision is made on a planning application, only certain issues are taken into account; these are referred to as 'material planning considerations'. More information is available by clicking here
